Essentially its the same as PoW mining but because CloakCoin is a PoS coin, the reward you get from helping the network is based on the coins you hold (minting/staking) not your processing power (mining). Your Address competes with all other Addresses that are online and unlocked to mint the next Block. It’s like a lottery, that takes place every 60 seconds. The higher your Coin Age, the more lottery tickets you have and therefore the more chances you’re given to win.

How to Stake your CloakCoin — Step by Step

1. Buy CloakCoin on one of these exchanges

2. Download the desktop wallet for your operating software

3. Download the blockchain, to be up to date

4. Create your address with your password

5. Create a backup-file, to be able to recover your wallet (if necessary!)

6. Send your CloakCoin to your address

7. After 60 confirmation = 60 minutes your CloakCoin are mature and able to mint

8. Unlock your Wallet for Minting

9. Wait until you Mint. The longer it takes, the higher gets the chance to mint and the higher is the reward.
